Mario + Rabbids held a unique showcase today. While there was plenty of footage of the tactics game and the show’s main star, Edge the Rabbid, one of the newest additions, was the event’s true star. A girl is returning the title of video game mascot Edgelord from Shadow the Hedgehog.

Unlike most of the Rayman Rabbid spin-off Rabbids, Edge is quiet and insufferable. She can’t bear the antics of her Rabbid brothers. She’s just too cool to go to school. She is a formidable fighter with a giant sword that could be used to defeat your favorite Final Fantasy protagonist. She is here to defeat these foes and not tolerate any other’s bullshit. Mario can rely on her for a calming presence after dealing with Rabbids all day. She isn’t as tired or jaded as Rabbid Rosalina, who was another guest at the party in the sequel. Like she, I am also wearing fingerless gloves right now.

Bowser is also joining the player team as a party member of Sparks of Hope. This man is my favorite character in Super Mario. However, I can’t hear Edge over how loud his hairstyle is. It takes a lot of product for it to hold up like that. Queen of spikey hair.

In the showcase, Grant Kirkhope (returning to Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle), Gareth Coker(Halo Infinite), and Yoko Shimomura (“Kingdom Hearts”) were all confirmed as working on the score for Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. You can see the complete presentation below.
