IS STATE OF DECAY 2 THE CROSS-PLATFORM
State of Decay2 was the eagerly awaited sequel to the Xbox and PC exclusive State of Decay. While it didn’t receive the same or better reception as its predecessor, State of Decay 2, it was still worthy. We want to focus on whether State of Decay 2 allows cross-platform play. Does it?
We have seen that many gamers are confused about State of Decay 2’s cross-platform capabilities. Because some gamers have multiple play systems, they do not know where State of Decay 2 can be played.
PS4 and PS5 are not available
State of Decay 2 is currently unavailable on PlayStation 4 and 5 platforms. As it stands now, State of Decay 2 is not available on PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5.
There is still the possibility that Sony may accept Xbox Game Pass as an option. However, this is extremely unlikely at this time.
State of Decay 2 for Xbox and PC
S, and PC where Steam and the Microsoft Store are concerned. If you want to play from Steam, an Xbox Live account is required.
Before you attempt a cross-platform play, all players must have the same version of State of Decay 2. This is an important step that must be taken at all costs.
How to make State of Decay 2 cross-platform play possible
Undead Labs may not be the most original game, but they have done an excellent job ensuring that cross-play is possible without any complexities. How do you get it done? Let’s talk about this.
- You must first launch State of Decay 2. Then, navigate to the main menu.
- Choose your preferred settings and enable multiplayer mode.
- Click on the Host Multiplayer Game button to invite friends. Next, go to the Guest Section and click Invite.
- Select the friend that you wish to invite, and that’s all.
The third instalment of the series, State of Decay 3, is being developed. Undead Labs has not yet announced a release date, but you can view a trailer until then.
