GTA 6’s Early Plans Included Four Protagonists in Three Cities

Last week was hectic for GTA fans, with a new GTA online update and rumored details regarding GTA6 being revealed quickly.

Many of these gun-toting people broke from grumbling heists and fought with griefers. They also bought all the content to voice their opinions on the new information regarding the next entry in the series, which was included in a report by Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier.

However, some are now being forced to return to social media as more details about the original game plans have emerged.

Fans React To Ambitious Outline For GTA 6

Schreier stated in the Bloomberg report that Schreier originally planned for the next GTA game: “for it be more extensive than any Grand Theft Auto games to date.”

This was in line with early plans that included “territories modeled after large swathes of North America and South America.” These were later scaled back to what is currently called “a fictional Miami” and its surrounding areas.

Axios Gaming’s Stephen Totilo reported that at least one of the early plans would have seen the gameplay across three cities. However, it is not clear which cities these cities would have been.

Totilo’s report suggests that this game version might have had four protagonists. However, this suggestion has since been reduced to the Bonnie-and-Clyde-inspired couple outlined in Schreier’s report.

These fresh revelations regarding the game we might’ve gotten have proved controversial among GTA fans in the subreddit r/GamingLeaksAndRumours.

Several people suggested that four protagonists may be too many. Zombienerd300 said that even three characters felt too much and that the characters were enough. DeeDee_GigaDooDoo added that GTA V’s story felt less tight than in previous games.
