This year has been interesting for leaks from official sources. Remakes of The last of Us and Tactical Ogre were available on the PlayStation Store before any official announcements. T The Last of Us Part 1 was revealed hours before the official unveiling, and the Tactics Ogre: Reborn was unveiled two months prior. It appears that another game leaked prematurely.

Dead Island 2 finally returned to life after being hidden for so long. Wario64 deals guru noticed an Amazon listing describing the “Day 1 Edition” PlayStation 4 version. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series version of the game was quickly listed. Deep Silver, the game’s publisher, has not yet revealed the title. This is likely to be revealed at Gamescom 2022 next week.

All listings have a release date listed for February 3, 2023. This could be an Amazon placeholder, but it is most likely the actual launch date. The game is also described in detail. Dead Island 2 still occurs in California, as it was first announced in 2014.
