The Mobile Ripoff of “The Witcher 3” Is Hilarious
As rogue developers attempt to cash in on the most popular gaming franchises, ripoffs appear everywhere.
We discovered these horrible Gods of War knockoff, titled War Gods Zeus of Child. It features a plagiarised Kratos who fights an interminable number of enemies. Stumble Guys has topped the app charts recently, which is quite surprising as it’s a copy of Fall Guys. Now, Wild Hunt has been given the knockoff treatment.
To see the app icon of developer ONEMT’s Rise of the Kings game, you can easily tell it is a ripoff of The Witcher. This is Geralt. It’s obvious. ONEMT described the game as “A new war has arrived, with evil threatening both innocent and meek.” As various powerful factions vie for power and dominance, the land echoes with agony. Your fate is now in your hands.
Although the synopsis could describe any fantasy IP, Rise of the Kings’ advertising is not as clear. Reddit users have been swarming about an advert that recreates The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt’s cover artwork. It is blatant copying. PC Gamer pointed out that the promotional artwork seems to be a copy of Geralt’s armor from the Netflix series. Have a look at the below.
