In the End Times, players have the option to team up with three others to defeat the Skaven, an animal-like race of monstrous creatures that live in the city of Ubersreik. Five heroes are available to players: the Empire Soldier, Witch Hunter, Dwarf Ranger, and Waywatcher, as well as the Bright Wizard. Each of the five heroes has different skills.
