Uchikoshi Says Sigma zero Escape Likes Boys and Packs Big Meat because I Said So
Companies will often take advantage of queer identities that are kept secret to make money. Take Poe and Finn in the Star Wars sequel trilogy. After years of Oscar Isaac being pissed, Poe was allowed to meet a female lover in Rising of Skywalker. But Zero Escape and Ai: Kotaro Uchikoshi, The Somnium FilesDirector, has another idea.
Uchikoshi does not want to confirm the identities of the characters. This is not because he wants queer people to believe they are getting representation. But, he also wants to show respect to anyone with headcanons who might think his characters may be queer. This being said, Sigma Klim, from the Zero Escape series, likes boys because this is what I had imagined.
This approach was taken on his own Twitter in response to questions from fans about the gender identity characters in Ai: The Somnium Files-Nirvana Initiative. He said he didn’t want anything to be confirmed beyond the game’s text because fans can become attached to their interpretations. Sincere, I admire the forwardness of his desire to let fans enjoy characters according to their terms.
This being said, I will now see Sigma, the protagonist in Virtue’s Last Reward, as a bisexual male. The creator has permitted me. He may be able to get along with Diana in Zero-Time Dilemma, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t like men. This is what I believe.
Uchikoshi also responded to the original tweet by saying that he would not confirm whether characters were tops or bottoms, nor the length of any “baguette.” It is possible to imagine Sigma as a dominant top, one that loves to be choked and has a giant cock. Uchikoshi even claimed that Sigma was carrying nine inches. We’re all on one page.
