The Metroid Games – Ranking From Worst to Best

Metroid is a top-selling Nintendo franchise and series. However, it has not been as well-sold as, for example, Mario Kart and Pokemon. Metroid is one of the most significant N’s and oldest franchises dating back to the NES.

It also boasts one of the most extensive fan baseNintendo’Nintendo’s entire roster. Metroid fans sometimes have to wait up to 5-7 years before a new game is released, but they never stop coming out of their moon caves or martian trenches when the next entry comes along.

The Metroid series is a highly influential, iconic, and high-quality franchise. It has tense dread and atmospheric immersion. We rank the Metroid games in order of their quality, keeping that pioneering spirit in mind. Who will be the Mother Brain? Continue reading to find out.

Metroid Prime: Federation Force

Sidelining series protagonist Samus Aran is the first cardinal sin Metroid Prime, Federation Force commits. Without Samus, a Metroid game is like Zelda without Link. This should never happen. Federation Force, which was created with co-op as its goal, completely destseries’e series’ claustrophobic terror.

The cartoony style of art took all air out of the balloon to make matters worse. Metroid fans waited 5 years for a new entry in this series. And they finally got it. Metroid Prime, Federation Force was a disappointment for fans.

Metroid Prime Hunters

Nintendo wanted to capitalize on its surprise success with Metroid Prime, and its sequel, on the GameCube. Hunters brought series series’ core concepts, such as first-person exploration and scanning almost any object of interest to handhelds, to the table.

This game is not as good as the PrimIt’smes. It’s difficult to control, the levels are uninspired, and it emphasizes multiplayer, which takes away from what could have made for a better campaign. Althoughisn’ters isn’t as bad as Federation, and it’s, it’s a game that can be skipped easily in the series.

Metroid Prime Pinball

The obsession with pinball was real for Nintendo, and Metroid Prime Pinball benefited from it. Metroid Prime Pinball is a robust digital pinball experience. It allows you to morph Samus into the projectile and then challenges you with solving puzzles and fighting enemies.

Although it may not be the best Metroid game, MPP is a greWe’reme. We’re eager to see this game on Nintendo Switch Online.

This one might be a bit controversial. Metroid: Another M received as much criticism from fans as other games in the Metroid franchise. A long-awaited sequel to Super Metroid: Other M wAran’sus Aran’s long-awaited direct sequel. This made Samus Aran a petulant child, and a whiny malcontent; instead of being a powerful, silent intergalactic badagame’sis game’s story is frequently regarded as the worst in the series for these reasons and more.

Other M, however, is an action-oriented, fast-paced spin on the 2D Metroid formula. Other M offers the best of both worlds. It allows players to switchPrime’sn Prime’s first-person view to another M’s second-person perspective. This gives the game a unique style and interplay. Metroid’sMetroid’s Other M might not be suitable for everyone.

MetSamus’I: Samus’ Return

Metroid II: Return of Samus, the sequel to the original adventure, brought its intergalactic heroine onto a handheld platform. Return of Samus is a story about a mission to eliminate all Metroid species. You will be searching SR-388 in search of every parasitic organism before you face off against their queen.

Metroid II can still be played or watched as a curiosity. However, the two superior remakes of Metroid: Samus Returns and AM2R render it almost non-essential. There are better ways to enjoy this adventure.

Metroid

Without Metroid, the gaming landscape would be very different. Metroid, a foundational game that would go on to partially inspire its subgenres, is a classic entrNES’sthe NES’s canon of must-plays. It introduced many iconic elements to the series, including Samus Aran, the protagonist, Ridley and Mother Brain.

Metroid: Zero Mission is a better way to enjoy this adventure than the previous entry. The best way to experience the original Metroid is by playing it with a map and new graphics and design.

Metroid: Zero Mission is a better way to enjoy this adventure than the previous entry. The best way to experience the original Metroid is by playing it with a map and new graphics and design.

Metroid: Zero Mission, a sequel to the successful Metroid Fusion game, allowed players to relive the original Metroid using modern graphics and presentation. Zero Mission, which includes the Gravity Suit and diagonal aiming, is infinitely more fun than the original game.

Zero Mission also adds new content. This includes parts Metroid’sMetroid’s Criteria and a thrilling finale where Samus must battle and explore without her Power Suit. Although the game is over in just a feit’surs, it’s well worth It’s. It’s also easily the bestSamus’on Samus’ first adventure.

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes

Retro Studios took a new direction with Metroid Prime 2, focusing on the battle between light and dark. Samus is set on Aether, a planet that has been decimated and has dimensional flux at its centre. He must navigate between both worlds to restore order and save the last of his species from extinction.

This is also the debut of Dark Samus. Dark Samus, a parasite created at the end of Metroid Prime, adds a level of terror and tension to their sies. It’s the division’s Fusion’s SA-X but in 3D.

Although the campaign is one of the weakest Prime games, it is still fun. It is also a great way to learn how to use the Screw Attack in 3D.

Metroid: Samus Returns

The Nintendo answer to AM2R (an unauthorized fan remake of Metroid II) is Metroid: Samus Returns. It was created by MercurySteam, who later worked on Metroid Dread. Its basic campaign layout is essentially the same as Metroid II. Samus must eliminate all Metroid species to extinction on SR-388 and their queen.

But Samus Returns is where the story gets fascinating. The new counter-attack mechanic gives battle an aggressive, melee-heavy feel. You will also find many new items and moves that were not in the original game. There are also shiny new 3DS graphics and all the modern bells & whistles you could want.

SuperIt’sroid

It’s the most influential Metroid game, and it is also the best. Super Metroid was a landmark with its fantastic world design, tons to fight and explore, and hidden secrets. It blazed its trail.

Super Metroid includes a vast map and tons of weapons, upgrades, and abilities to make it easier to explore. It is addictive to explore Zebes, find new stuff and discover new things with every new item. This helped launch the Metroidvania subgenre.

Super Metroid is packed with powerful bosses to face, many ways to defeat enemies, and beautiful locations that fill players with a sense of foretasting. It’s almost like you are on an alien planet. The haunting music and creepy enemy designs keep you entertained with every discovery.

Super Metroid is not only the best Metroid but also one of the most satisfying. Super Metroid sets the scene with simple, unworded storytelling and a detached tone. It leaves you feeling as gut-punched as it is triumphant with that’s both saddening and joyful. This is the best Metroid, but it’s also the most excellent game ever made.
