Survival is the core game mode of The Isle. This is a challenging and difficult experience that requires you to either grow quickly or die young. In Survival mode, Dinosaurs progress through many life stages.
They start small and are vulnerable. To survive, use your night vision, scent, and wits to become more powerful and unlock new abilities like nesting. Survival does not allow for all creatures to be played due to the length of their life cycles. However, there will be future updates that will include more.
Sometimes, however, you may not want to survive or take the time to read through the entire life story of a dinosaur. That’s fine. Sandbox mode allows players to play a wider range of dinosaurs and soon, humans. With no penalties or consequences for dying, you can either jump in as an adult superpredator or as a peaceful giant.
