Sonic Generations, a platform video game for 2011 developed by Sonic Team, is published by Sega on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo 3DS. White Space is the main hub of the game.
Here, the player can interact with other characters and explore the world. It also allows them to access nine levels that are all derived from previous entries in the series.
There are three distinct eras to the levels: The Classic Era, which focuses on levels from Sega Genesis games; the Dreamcast Era, which focuses on levels from Dreamcast, GameCube, and Xbox 2 games; and the Modern Era, which focuses on levels from Wii, Nintendo DS, and Xbox 360 games
. Each level has two acts, one for each Sonic and ten more missions like collecting rings or completing levels with the help of another character.
