Resident Evil, the game that defined the horror genre has been remastered in HD. Check it out! A special forces squad is dispatched to Raccoon City in 1998, where they are sent to investigate bizarre murders.
They are greeted by bloodthirsty canines and forced to hide in an adjacent mansion. The scent of death is heavy in the atmosphere. They are struggling to survive as supplies become scarce.
- The terror is still there, but with more detailed graphics.
- Thanks to the resolution upgrade and 3D non-static models, environments are brought alive in all their detail.
- The HD graphics are now even more lifelike thanks to post-processing techniques like Bloom filters. These were difficult to implement at the time the game was released.
- High-Resolution environments – To increase the resolution of backgrounds, we’ve recreated them using a combination of static high-res images and animated 3D models.
- High-Quality Audio – To increase sampling rates, the audio was remastered. 5.1ch is now also supported.
- The original controls are available or you can choose an alternative control scheme where you simply push the analog sticks to move the way you wish to.
You can change the controls during gameplay.
