PlayStation Exclusive: ‘The Callisto Protocol’ Will Get A PlayStation Exclusive Feature

The Callisto Protocol is one of the most potent new horror IPs. We now know that Glen Schofield, the Dead Space creator, will be releasing the new title on 2 December 2022.

The Callisto Protocol was initially intended to be set within PUBG, but this is no longer the case. While the game will be released on all platforms, it has been revealed that one feature is only for PlayStation users.

Schofield spoke on the PlayStation blog and announced that all pre-orders for the game would receive a “special Contraband Pack” to give Jacob a fighting chance against the unimaginable horrors at Black Iron Prison. Very interesting. Although it is unknown what the Contraband Pack will include, it will likely contain weapons, health aids, and other essential supplies that will help players get along well.

This week at the State of Play, Striking Distance Studios released the first glimpse of The Callisto Protocol’s gameplay. Schofield now gives more details about what to expect. Callisto feels depressing, isolated, and puts players on edge. To create a feeling of dread and keep the players guessing about the shadows, we spend a lot of time designing lighting.

“We obsess about building and releasing tension. Jump scares can’t be found around every corner. We sometimes space out scares to allow players to breathe, while other times, we go all-out and hit them with multiple scares at once. We want your heart rate to race with every one of the PS5’s fantastic haptics.

Schofield continued, saying, “The Callisto Protocol Is a survival horror game. Players should not feel helpless.” Jacob isn’t a soldier, and every encounter can be a life or death battle.” This sounds like players are in for a frightening time. Is it possible to bravely enter Black Iron Prison? I don’t think so.
