The hexes that have these resources can be used to extract water, aluminium, iron, silicon, and carbon. A power plant can be built to generate power. There are limitations depending on which type of power plant is being constructed.
It is often used to power buildings. Steel mills are used to make steel from iron. Farmers make food from the water. Hydrolysis reactors separate water into oxygen and fuel.
Glass kilns make glass from silicon and oxygen. Electronic factories make electronics from silicon, carbon and aluminium. Chemical refineries make chemicals from fuel and carbon. The final step is to sell your resources stockpiles.
