Officially, Liam Neeson Returns To Star Wars as Qui-Gon Jinn
We are being presented with some very exciting news at Star Wars Celebration.
Before that, Lucasfilm dropped the first glimpse at Star Wars. Andor. We now know when Mandalorian will premiere. Respawn Entertainment has released the first trailer of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. It looks amazing and seems to have a strong connection to Obi-Wan Kenobi’s TV series. If things couldn’t get any better, the Star Wars actor who is a fan favorite will be returning to the franchise.
That’s right. Officially, Liam Neeson will be returning to Star Wars as Qui-Gon Jinn. Neeson will appear in the Star Wars Tales of the Jedi. Six episodes of the animated anthology series, which will air in six parts, will dive deep into the lives and times of six Jedi from the prequel era.
Although it may be voiceover only, this news is welcome after many years of wishing that Qui-Gon would return to the franchise. This follows comments made by Neeson earlier this year about returning to the franchise. He stated, “f it was a movie. Star Wars Celebration fans also saw Mace WWindu’spurple Lightsaber in the concept artwork for Star Wars Tales of the Jedi. However, Windu was not mentioned. Perhaps an easter egg tease. We might see Samuel L Jackson returning.
