Official Release Date and First Look for ‘Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2’
Activision and Infinity Ward announced this October that Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 will be released.
Infinity Ward posted a Tweet on the official Call Of Duty Twitter account. It showed the first glimpse at Modern Warfare 2 and teased some characters and locations. They also confirmed a release date of October 28.
Activision also displayed what appears to be the cover art of Modern Warfare 2 by sticking it on the side of a shipping container. It seems that just announcing something is not something this industry can do anymore.
The key art features an intimidating operator in a skull mask. We assume there is a fan-favourite Ghost. John “Soap”, MacTavish, and Captain John Price are confirmed in the trailer. Long-time fans will already be familiar with them. Let’s pray that the bromance continues to be as strong as ever.
The new game’s colour scheme is brighter than the darker hues of 2019’s Modern Warfare. However, we expect the sequel to be just as gritty. At least, until the inevitable Donkey Kong crossover event will be a few months later.
In the coming weeks, we’ll be learning more about Modern Warfare2. Although it is not confirmed, it has been suggested that the game’s campaign will take place in Latin America. Players will embark on a mission against a drug cartel.
Infinity Ward plans to splash with the new Call Of Duty campaign. A story where characters could live or die depending on your choices.
A remastered multiplayer mode from 2009 Modern Warfare 2 is also planned to launch in the 2022 Modern Warfare 2. We can also expect maps such as Rust, Terminal and other classic weapons to be revived in 2019’s Modern Warfare 2. Keep an eye out for this.
