Some days ago, Dragon’s Dogma marked its 10th anniversary. We are sorry, 2012 was a decade back! It is a lie that I refuse to believe.

It’s true. But I have to admit it. Capcom’s highly testing fantasy adventure was a huge success. It was also well-received when it was released. However, the 2020 Netflix version is the only thing we have in terms of new content. While I don’t pretend to have seen it, the reviews aren’t too positive. But things could change. Screen Rant reported that Capcom’s anniversary celebration has made fans hopeful for a sequel.

What exactly is the celebration? It’s not much. An official anniversary website was created. It contains an overview video with gameplay clips and scenes taken from Netflix, a timeline of all the games’ releases, and a thank-you message for players.

It reads, “Thank you, Arisen, for taking up arms and braving the impossible challenges ahead of you,” We are forever grateful to you for your support over the years and hope you will join us at this historic celebration of Dogma!

Did the website have any clues that pointed to a new game? Nothing. However, it doesn’t stop the ever-hopeful fans from wondering why Capcom would make such an effort to honour a single title. It certainly suggests that there could be more.

Capcom was hit with a huge leak that revealed many games in development, including a new Dragon’s Dogma game. It won’t surprise me if something is actually in development. However, it’s not surprising that it wasn’t announced for the anniversary of Dragon’s Dogma. We will have to keep an eye on this.
