NBA 2K15, a basketball simulation videogame developed by Visual Concepts, is published by 2K Sports. This is the 16th instalment of the NBA 2K franchise, and it succeeds NBA 2K14.
It was released on October 14, 2014, for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One and Xbox 360. Kevin Durant, a cover athlete for NBA 2K13 from the Oklahoma City Thunder is the sole cover athlete for NBA 2K15. NBA 2K16 succeeded NBA 2K15.
NBA 2K15 lets players scan their faces to create players using the PlayStation Camera on PlayStation 4 and the Kinect on Xbox One. To make the gaming experience as realistic as possible, 3D mapping creates a realistic rendering of the player’s face.
It takes about 30 seconds to scan the face. During scanning, players will need to be very close (6-12 inches) and rotate their heads slowly to the right and left.
MyCareer Mode for 8th-Gen systems (Xbox One and PlayStation 4), has been redesigned with new features such as the mentor system and an upgrading system.
Before and after each game, the player’s MyPlayer talks to the leader of their team. 2K added their voices, allowing for a deeper user experience. These features allow for a more detailed “storyline” to be integrated into MyCareer mode.
MyCareer has a new upgrade system that allows you to get more virtual currency through endorsement deals, completing challenges and badges (which are available in bronze, silver and gold). Players cannot see the playoff tree or playoff stats on 8th-Gen systems.
The new Coach Satisfaction System provides instant feedback on MyPlayer’s court performance. Doc Rivers, Los Angeles Clippers’ head coach, mentors MyPlayer and will praise or dissuade the player depending on their game.
