Head honcho at Marvel Cinematic Universe has stated that Avengers Endgame was “the last Avengers” movie. This suggests that Earth’s Mightiest Heroes have been removed from the MCU.

This may seem obvious. Endgame did scatter the original team to the four winds. Captain America is now retired. Iron Man and Black Widow have both died. Thor is on a cosmic quest for self-discovery. Hulk and Hawkeye have Disney Plus contracts.

It hurts a bit to hear Feige confirm that the Avengers are on their way. In the latest episode, Marvel Studios Assembled’s behind-the-scenes show, the MCUboss explained why The Eternals was the right time.

Feige stated that Marvel Studios and the Marvel Cinematic Universe had passed their tenth year. With the release of the final Avengers movie, we’ve completed a 22-movie Infinity Saga. Welp. It is there.

Feige’s statement that Endgamewas Avengers’ final movie gives us plenty of room. There are many versions of the Avengers throughout comic book history, besides that the X-Men are joining the MCU. This will no doubt satisfy our desire for superhero teams in future years.

Disney Plus has been busy setting up Young Avengers characters such as Kate Bishop and Wanda’s twin brothers Billy and Tommy. I would also wager that the New Avengers will appear sooner than expected, which would be a great way to make Feig’s vision come true.
