League of Legends certainly has seen its fair share of new users since its 2009 release. A Reddit post from user BenjiB1243 showed that the game still has the potential to attract new players in 2022.

BenjiB1243 wrote the following: “I am a newer player and I must say that I haven’t had so much fun playing a game in years.” This game has restored my passion for gaming. Although it doesn’t make me rich, it’s not a harem. The twitch capsules are sufficient to satisfy my skin needs.
They added, “I haven’t been doing anything else and thought of playing a video game as much as this one.”

Some users responded anticipating negative reactions from other League of Legends members. This subreddit can, as with most gaming subreddits, be dominated dominated by veteran players whose posts tend to trend towards negative aspects of the game such as problems that need fixing.
These responses never came, and the vast majority of users shared BenjiB1243’s love for the league.
IvyClora shared their disgust at League players, saying that whenever they mention League to disorders, they usually respond with a reply like ‘ew’, or ‘I’m sorry. I have fun with the game, hun. I don’t torture myself because I’m so deep in a sunk-cost fallacy.
