About IL-2 Sturmovik 1946
IL-2 Sturmovik 1946, also known as IL-2: 1946, is a compilation release of the Combat flight sim game IL-2 Sturmovik. It includes an Ace Expansion Pack and Pacific Fighters(TM), as well as alternate history campaigns. The game was originally a one-aircraft sim. It has since been upgraded to the most recent version 4.12.2. The community updated the game to 4.12.2. It now supports widescreen with correct FOV and many new planes, maps, and scenarios.
- New Aircraft: 32 new fighters and bombers and four new AI aircraft.
- New Maps: Large, new maps of Ukraine; a map for Manchuria that focuses on the border between USSR and China; a large bonus Burma maps; and an online Khalkin Gol/Nomonhan map.
- Neu Campaigns: Nine new campaigns, with almost 200 missions, add incredible realism to the story and attention to detail. For the Soviet, Japanese, and German air forces, there are detailed careers for a fighter- and bomber pilots. These missions include flying jet bombers across occupied Europe to intercept American B-29 Superfortresses over Iwo Jima.
