Elden Ring 1.06, Patch Nerfs Bloodhound step, Removes the PVP Requirement for White Mask Varre Quest.
Elden Ring’slatest1.06 patch brings several changes. But the most significant is its nerfing some of the game’s most powerful (or broken, as some may argue), like Bloodhound Step.
Six months from launch, From Software has made some significant changes to Elden Ringabilities. Some of these will help complete the game, while others may affect existing strategies. The update 1.06 patch notes are quite long. They include both balance changes and bug fixes. However, the most important change is Bloodhound Step. This ability allows you to dodge attacks, which has been essential to certain play styles.
Gamers Cathedral’s video shows Elden Ringnerfing Bloodhound Step. It is notable in that it reduces the distance your character can cover when you use it, but it also decreases effectiveness when used repeatedly. The changes make it less effective, however, if you travel light and have a lighter equipment load.
Other skills, such as Corpse Piler, have also been nerfed. This skill does less damage enemies when hit with a bloody attack from the player’s blade. The damage you do to an enemy is not affected by a strike made with the blade. Some abilities and attacks have been upgraded in patch 1.06.
Other than balance updates, the most significant update in Patch 1.06 was not making PVP a requirement for Elden Ring’s White Mask Varre’s questline. Previously, you could only advance if another player invaded your game. You can advance it by defeating an NPC added to the latest patch.
