Catie in MeowmeowLand, a traditional point-and-click adventure game with beautiful characters and cats, is Catie. Catie is a strange cat that lives in her garden and suddenly finds herself in MeowmeowLand. She must journey back to her home to get her lost kitten. Your job is to guide Catie. MeowmeowLand, a strange world in which you can find random characters in more bizarre situations, is your task?
You can play through 24 stunning 2D sceneries. There are more than 100 humorous characters. More than 2 hours worth of charmingly crafted 2D animations. Instead of reading boring text boxes, all characters communicate with each other through comic bubbles that contain comic line art. It’s an excellent game for kids and adults alike. This title is easy enough for everyone, from easily distracted children to those who can’t get along with point-and-click mechanisms. The game moves fast and can be completed in approximately 3-5 minutes.

It’s not the story or the puzzles that are the main reason to play this game. But the great backgrounds and animations are what make it so compelling. The game takes you to a variety of surreal scenes. You also meet many strange characters who appear in different locations. There are lots of magical potions and artifacts that can be used to make the game more interesting. I was astonished at the animations and found myself laughing out loud. The audio and sound are excellent. Adventures of Catie is a fantasy-like version of Alice in Wonderland.
Many characters will appear in Lewis Carroll’s books, many of which he could not have imagined. He probably could, but he didn’t. The story setup is the same as in the book: “down the rabbit/cathole.” There isn’t much to the story after that. Catie tries to return home by travelling through bizarre environments, each more mysterious than the others. It’s easy, and it works well for a game that is 3 hours long. It’s so odd in the best way possible.
