Apex Legends Season 14 is coming soon!
Respawn Entertainment has started releasing spoilers about the following Legend, with just over two weeks remaining in Apex legends’ Season 13. Respawn Entertainment also released a new Stories From the Outlands trailer and details about Season 14. After three years of waiting, we finally have a level cap raise.
As confirmed by Apex Legends’ website, the level cap will rise when Season 14 launches. As new icons for leveling up have been datamined multiple times, this has been known for months. The current belief is that the level cap would be increased from 500 to 700. However, I wouldn’t be surprised to see it rise as high as 1000. This is huge news for many players who used to earn Apex Packs from leveling up their main accounts. Once you reach the level cap, legend Tokens are earned instead of the Apex Packs. This will increase players’ chances of unlocking legendary cosmetics or the highly sought-after Heirloom Shards.
Respawn will also announce an update to King’s Canyon’s map and the level cap increases. King’s Canyon was the original map that Apex Legends launched. It has been met with a divided response in the past few seasons. It was frequently criticized for its small size and unbalanced roster. Although we don’t know precisely what the changes will be, the Apex Legends description does hint at the possibility that the Skull Town point-of-interest could be back.
Respawn asks, “What will rise from the ashes? of the past?” Since Skull Town was submerged in the ocean during Season 5, the idea of returning from the depths is very fitting. Skull Town, similar to Fragment in World’s Edge, gained a reputation for being the best place to drop loot in public games because of its high level of cover and loot. Respawn will have to balance this return location, as far-famed legends can take advantage of verticality.
