Valorant players wonder whether they will ever be able to give skins to one another.
Valorant is a great game for anyone who likes to have some fun. The battle royale game offers many challenges and matches that will challenge those who want to master it.
Sometimes, however, these players may have grievances about the game, just like their Apex legends brethren. These grievances are not based on being accidentally killed by Skye’s dog. The game’s store is a source of ordinary unhappiness.
Some Valorant elite are irked that they cannot gift items to each other, which some have waited years for.
Who would you give Valorant’s gift to?
Posting to begin a thread on this topic in the Valorant subreddit, user williamis3 cited an answer given by Miles’ Riot Usury’ Metzger in a 2020 Ask Valorant session. He suggested that gifting content might be added to the game later in the year. However, he said it had been more than two years since that. Is this something they will ever implement? Is this all just hype? It seems to me that soon” isn’t very soon.
User TimeJustHappens quickly responded to those questions by citing an Ask Valorant dated May this year. In it, Stephen Kraman, the game’s Product Manager, stated that a gifting system is currently in the game’s backlog due to prioritising other changes in-game and exploring more comprehensive ways of bringing it to VALORANT. He added that there is no timeline.
Another user responded, “Don’t get your hopes high,” citing a replay originally planned for the game but was revealed in May. Ask Valorant if it wasn’t in the current plans.
Other users discussed their feelings about the lacklustre gifting system. Devilswings5 said that he felt the same way. “I mean, they’ve lost out on a ton of my money. Recently I wanted to purchase my friend the reaver sets, but I can’t.”
Other users had other ideas about how such a system might work. One user said: “If they do add this, they should just give us access (to) buying all (of) their skins all (of), like League of Legends.”
On the other hand, user topaz stated that gifting wouldn’t work because of their current store model. It is possible to create five additional accounts and check all their stores. Then, gift all skins to the main account.
