SONS OF FOREST RELEASE DATE: EVERYTHING THAT WE KNOW
Sons of the Forest, the next project by Endnight Games and the sequel of its survival game The Forest, is Sons of the Forest.
It was announced in late 2019, and rumors about its date have swirled. This is primarily due to the lack of information shared by the team.
Although there aren’t many details available, these trailers give an idea of what to expect. This is all we know about the Sons of Forest’s release date. Details about gameplay, story and more are included.
Sons of the Forest: Release Date
Sons of the Forest received a 2021 release window initially, but Endnight Games later confirmed that the game needs more time.
It revealed the new release window in a tweet. They promised a precise release date after the third trailer goes live. It announced later that Sons of the Forest would be released on May 20, 2022.
The developer admitted on March 25, 2022, that a May launch was too ambitious and delayed the game until October 2022.
The developer disclosed that it delayed the publication of Sons of the Forest on August 31 2022. This time, the release was scheduled for February 23 2023. It stated:
“Due to the size of our new game, Sons Of The Forest, it has been challenging to pinpoint a release date. Today we have to defer one more time.
We will release February 23, 2023, at 29.99 USD to allow us time to polish the product.

Story of the Sons of the Forest
Although it’s not clear how large a role the story will play in Sons of the Forest, the trailers so far suggest that it begins with a helicopter accident that leaves your character trapped in a forest.
Although the spooky woman may have been a hallucination, it could be that there is a story to follow. However, it is just as likely that the environment will provide context for the player’s actions. We’re still guessing until the developer shares more.
Sons of the Forest Gameplay
Sons of the Forest appears to have all the best genre elements in the gameplay. You’ll find plenty of exploration and some horror when you face cannibals or mutants who are out to harm you.
You can use guns, sticks and a taser to fight them off. If you aren’t fighting, you will likely engage in some crafting or at least live your dream of becoming a lumberjack.
It is worth noting the improved visuals, which add more detail to wood chopping and shovelling dirt and putting together your tools.

Requirements for Sons of the Forest System
We don’t know yet what Sons of Forest’s system requirements are, but based on the trailers’ quality, we can safely guess that we will need larger PCs to run The Forest.
How much can Sons of the Forest be purchased?
Sons of the Forest will launch on PC via steam. It could launch on PlayStation based on its predecessor. However, we will have to wait until official confirmation.
