Sonic & Knuckles Collection Overview:
Sonic & Knuckles Collection contains almost identical games to the original releases. The game has a selection menu that lists the titles it contains. The Sonic & Knuckles Collection selection menu is displayed when the Sonic & Knuckles Collection is started.
The majority of the original music has been faithfully converted into MIDI format. Users can choose between General MIDI or FM MIDI formats. Sonic 3’s music tracks include those from Carnival Night Zone.
This could be because the tracks featured sampled sound effects incompatible with the MIDI standard. Sound cards at the time weren’t capable of playing these along with standard MIDI instruments.
Sonic & Knuckles Collection pre-Installed
The game plays almost the same as its previous versions, apart from the musical differences. Despite my vague memories of Shadowrun Returns’ gameplay, I can tell you that it didn’t change much.
Combat is almost the same. Many character classes and skills are available, but the combat system is very simplified. The Matrix sequences remain the same boring, unchallenging gimmick they were original. It isn’t easy to use the UI. The inventory system is almost non-existent. You can’t give items or supplies to your team members before the start of a mission.
