SimCity, a massively multiplayer online city-building and urban planning game, was developed by Maxis Emeryville. Electronic Arts published it. SimCity also uses the GlassBox engine, which has many cosmetic improvements (such as up-to-date 3D graphics). Andrew Willmott, the system architect, explained that SimCity aims to create visual effects like traffic, economic troubles and pollution. Other features include a multiplayer component as well as finite resources.
