September is the launch of The DioField Chronicle for Steam and Consoles
Square Enix and Lancarse announced The DioField Chronicle would be available for consoles and computers via Steam in Japan starting September 22. The strategy RPG will be demoed on August 10, before its launch.
Gematsu translated The DioField Chronicle’s date. Livestreamed footage of over an hour was added to the debut with The DioField Chronicle. Although there wasn’t any mention of other regions, it was revealed that the game’s PC version shares a date with its console counterparts. It’s quite a bit to say, but you will likely see other regions sharing the September 22 date. They’ll either be released a few days apart. Square Enix had previously revealed that the game would be released in its global trailer debut in 2022.
Gematsu also noted that the demo is the game’s first chapter and that save data is carried over to the release. The platform details and news about a demo release for global gamers remain unconfirmed. The studio behind DioField is Lancarse. It hosts Shin Megami Tensei and Etrian Odyssey talent. The new Lancarse game instantly attracted comparisons to recent releases such as Fire Emblem 3: Three Houses – for obvious reasons. Biofield, however, does not use the grid-based Fire Emblem system. Battles will take place in real-time.
Square Enix provided a detailed look at DioField’s battles and cast in the new footage. The Three Houses’ analogies seem to lend themselves to elements other than battle. Square Enix also offered footage of your daily life and free-roaming exploration bits. According to Square Enix, DioField is a group of mercenaries called Blue Fox who fight in the Kingdom of Alletain.
