Scarface: The World Is Yours was developed by Radical Entertainment and published by Vivendi Games in 2006. The game’s basic mechanics and gameplay fall under the Grand Theft Auto sub-genre.
Montana is able to control vehicles (cars or boats), can travel around the map by foot and interact with civilians. Montana is able to kill innocent people, a departure from other Grand Theft Auto-style games.
Montana will reject a player’s attempt to shoot an aggressive target; however, if the player attempts to hit innocent people with a car, they can only be hurt. As the game progresses, however, the player gains access to several Montana employees, including a driver and a boat pilot, a weapons dealer, an enforcer, and an assassin.
Once these employees are unlocked, the game allows the player to switch from Montana to any of the other (except for the weapons dealer), and the player can also play as the enforcer/assassin, killing innocent people.
