Both right and wrong are those who claim this title is different than other Resident Evil titles. Although it’s more atmospheric than some titles, it still features giant blob monsters with orange pustules and requires shooting. It’s not that it has a less complicated story or monsters.

This is a story about people who didn’t want anyone to be hurt but was forced to do so because of a mold or virus. That’s completely different! It is clear that the game has a small window of opportunity to heal people. However, Mia and her family have been suffering from this mold virus for three years. Only Mia, Zoe, and their children are able to get rid of it. This game is full of hiding and running. Although it isn’t a terrible story, it is not the game-changer that many people believe it to be. The RE series was not scary to me, but it was intense (there is a distinction). This is just my opinion. However, I can understand why some people find it scary.
This is why I don’t find the replay value of the story very appealing. I don’t like the same old spooky scenes with very little action. The zombie shooting action is what I like best of all the titles. It’s a popular game that many people keep playing over and over. Why? It’s because you have the option. You have the option to fight or run (a variety of baddies can be fought with different weapons). While the stories in those games were messy, people keep saying that this title is not. It’s just less messy. It was a mistake to try and make players sympathize with the family who held your girlfriend hostage.
That’s…unfortunately dumb. This game is great. It’s filled with atmosphere and the bonus mini-games are great. The RE universe was something that I thought the game was doing in a way that was almost unheard of. When I started this game, I was shocked at how quickly I lost my jaw. I had a horrible feeling that the story was going to lead me to the idea of a Texas chainsaw massacre-like family who ended up with a mold (it’s not a virus, it spreads) that made them immortal monsters. WOW! This isn’t any different from other RE titles! This is all I am saying (that’s unfair, this is a rant). My boo-who-ranting brain says that it isn’t THAT different from other titles.
