PSA: Sims 4 Glitch is Making Sims Get Old Too Fast
It would be easy to believe that growing older too quickly — in a matter of minutes — is something that can only be seen in movies like M.
Night’s Old. But that’s the reality of an unexpected glitch that The Sims 4 has. Yesterday’s free patch, which introduced sexual orientations and a new phone interface, was hugely successful. Players have been logging in to The Sims 4 to see their Sims age too fast, rather than waiting until their birthdays.
Young adult sims are heading towards midlife crises, and toddlers are becoming kids too soon. It’s quite a mess and is pretty widespread.
There is good news. Maxis and EA are aware of this issue and are working on a solution. They suggest that players use new saves in the default or normal lifespan to fix the issue. The glitch mostly affects those with short and long lives. The problem can also be prevented by turning off all aging.
This isn’t the only problem. The Get Famous expansion packs are being noticed by players who notice that Sims from their worlds suddenly become famous for no apparent reason.
