Netflix’s Tekken Trailer Is Surprisingly Graphic

It’s easy for people to forget that Netflix’s far less spectacular TV adaptations of Resident Evil are just the beginning. This, however, is not a good sign considering the current state of the horror series. But, don’t worry.

You might recall that a Tekken anime series was revealed for Netflix in March. The trailer also featured a teaser trailer. It looked perfect. The series will follow Jin Kazama’s story, who is the son of Jun Kazama (an antagonist) and grandson of Heihachi Mishima (aka The King of Iron Fist). We have a new trailer and a release date. Things look promising.

Check out the trailer for Tekken: Bloodline.

GameSpot reports that the plot centres on Jin’s quest to take revenge for his mother being killed by an evil ogre. Jin follows the instructions of his mother and seeks out his grandfather to help him become more vital than Ogre. It seems that it follows the events of Tekken3 – but whether or not there will be any significant changes for the series’ benefit remains to be seen.

The trailer shows that animators are not afraid to use violence when creating fight scenes. Blood is shed, and characters are bruised. Although it does not look like the series will be graphic, it is not intended for children.

Although we only got our first glimpse at Tekken: Bloodline just a few months ago, the release date is very soon. The show will debut exclusively on Netflix on 18 Aug, so there is less than a month left.
