Housing items can’t be used in FFXIV’s Island Sanctuary
Final Fantasy XIV fans were excited when the Island Sanctuary was first revealed. The short concept art featured a player character sitting in the middle of a farm, with minions running around. The promise of a unique island home was made to us, which some players loved.
Currently finds it difficult to get a home in. There are only a few housing plots available. You also have to be lucky enough to win the lottery. The FFXIV has temporarily disabled auto-demolition to protect plots left unattended.
Players hoped Island Sanctuary would offer another route to buying a home. Interview with Famitsu – translated via Reddit user MKillerby FFXIV’s lead Producer Naoki Yoshida. He stated that the island is not suitable for housing. Although the Island Sanctuary allows you to create a home for yourself, it is not intended to replace the housing system.
Yoshida also provided details about the Island Sanctuary. The island will not have a story beyond the short quests leading you there. The island’s weather will change, but there won’t be any snow due to the tropical climate. The Island Sanctuary will have a weekly development timer, and those who keep up with it can receive unique rewards such as mounts.
Patch 6.2 will include the new raid wing, Pandemonium, Criterion, Variant dungeons, and Tomestones. The next season of PVP will also feature this new addition. Yoshida and his company will discuss the patch in detail in the next Live letter from the Producer. We’ll be here at the Linkshell bright and early to cover the stream.
