GODLIKE BURG REVIEW: SERVING UP CUSTOMERS
Godlike Burger is a new way to manage a restaurant. The player must balance making money and turning customers into food. It’s a lot of fun to learn and adapt to changing situations. This game is not the best it could be because of its control system and some crucial UI elements.
Godlike Burger lets you manage a restaurant and cook. You manage the restaurant and serve customers. Some of your customers may become your food source.
The hardest part of learning how to play is losing. There are many ways to make money on different planets, so you will have hours of gameplay to learn. The controls are sometimes difficult to use and can lead to unforced errors.
Godlike Burger despite these shortcomings is an enjoyable simulation experience that will keep you on your screen while you learn about the inner workings. Godlike Burger currently available for $19.99 USD on PC and Nintendo Switch.
STORY – THE FAMILY EXPERIENCE
The story of Godlike Burger starts with the anonymous owner reflecting on his own life. After enduring great hardships in his childhood, the owner reflects back on a childhood memory of his grandmother making burgers. His grandmother was the owner of a popular burger joint in the galaxy. She died leaving behind the place.
The owner is frustrated by his current life and decides to reopen the restaurant. His lack of experience leads to dissatisfaction on the first day. This upsets a customer who suddenly becomes extremely powerful. The owner, who is unknown, is threatened with doing a better work and the game starts.
This story is not unique. It has similarities to Stories of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town and Cat Café Manager. Your time will be spent building your restaurant’s reputation and traveling to other planets. You will also serve burgers.
You will be welcomed with the same 2D comic style storytelling whenever you visit new planets or meet new people. The panels are very brief and don’t contain any words, but the drawings give you a feeling of the place.
GAMEPLAY – INTENSE RETAURANT MANAGEMENT
Godlike Burger is a game similar to where you’ll be running around in a kitchen making burger recipes. You will also be managing customers in the restaurant’s parking lot and kitchen.
INGREDIENTS: THE MOST DANGEROUS GAME
There is limited food at your burger joint. You can purchase toppings and buns for burgers, but the patty must be made from other alien races. Many alien races can come to your restaurant and become your burger meats.
