GameStop Location sells Anthem Physical Copy for a Penny
A BioWare loot shooter, Anthem was repurchased last year. I am jealous of a TikTok user who found the game at a GameStop last Wednesday. They were going only to be charged one dollar for the game. You read that correctly. In 2022, a GameStop store sold a pre-owned copy of Anthem for USD 0.01.
TikTok user @clocklava said in a video that @clocklava stated that a GameStop employee told him this price reduction occurs when a copy has been in stock for a while, and the store is looking to find a way to get it out of the house. This PS4 copy of Anthem has been searching for a home for some time, judging by the number of price stickers sticking out of the case. @clocklava found the game for $0.01 and paid one cent to GameStop. They got a free copy.
This is not the Anthem price you will find on GameStop’s website. The game is listed at $59.99 for PC and $37.99 for Xbox as of this writing. This seems a bit steep,, considering that I purchased my copy on Amazon for $14. This applies to the price matching policy of the retailer. It is unlikely. It is possible also to play Anhemthrough an EA Play subscription. This is likely more straightforward than trying haggling for a penny price point.
