Forza Horizon Game 2012 Overview:
This is an open-world racing video game. The game revolves around the Colorado-based Horizon Festival, a mix of car shows and music festivals.
Forza Horizon is a casual street racing track that focuses on casual street racing and not professional race tracks. It takes place on a map with temporarily closed roads. There are many types of races that it features, including rally, drift, and point-to-point. Both AI traffic, and festival drivers can be seen on the roads. In a race to a specific location, players may race against other racers.
Races start at the current location and end at a randomly generated point. This point is usually more than 500m from the player and their opponent. The game features a skill system that allows players to drive aggressively and earn popularity. Popularity is earned by performing actions such as drifting and jumping over obstacles. You can link them together to create a combination, which will affect the amount of money that players receive at the end. A player’s cred also affects their popularity in the game. New special events unlock as a player becomes more popular, such as races against planes and helicopters.
Turn 10’s creative director Dan Greenawalt stated that the game was inspired by Coachella. It was designed to be more casual than other Forza games while still allowing for realistic handling. The festival is the main focus of the game.
