Fallout New Vegas Modder Will Force You to Outrun “The Crash Man”
Are you looking to dive back into an Obsidian Entertainment RPG before the release of Pentiment later this year?
If the bright lights of New Vegas appeal to you again and you’re looking to spice up the game to make it a truly unique experience, then you’re in the right place.
To add urgency to your pursuit for Benny and ultimately victory at the Battle of Hoover Dam, a new mod sends someone to chase your vehicle across the desert to crash your game.
Prepare to be intimidated by someone more intimidating than Ulysses
The mod that creates this new, terrifying enemy is Avoid the Crash Man. It is the work KMFALLOUT. His previous work includes making Fallout 3’s Dad a possible friend and changing his name, so he is now Liam Neeson.
They’ve made a mod this time that will make you cry out for your parents to save you. A new NPC will immediately dispatch to chase down you as soon as the game starts and will not stop until you beat it.
The Crash Man, affectionately known as “The Crash Man,” is a man whose only mission in life is to get near you and cause your game to crash. He’s a formidable foe, regardless of how skilled you are or what weapons you have.
He’ll begin his journey at Jacobstown in the northwest corner of the map. There he will try to achieve his goal with the same relentless spirit that anime characters and real-life serial murderers have.
Your courier’s goal is to escape from him and evade him at all costs. This will require you to use all the tricks of a professional hide-and-seek player to get through the endgame without any injuries.
You can temporarily disable the crash man to get some distance between you and your task before you attempt again if you fail to do this.
You never know; you might start to treat his arrivals as welcome signs that you need to stop chatting with Mr. House and trying to bankrupt casinos rather than rushing through the entire game.
