Fallout: New Vegas Director Seems to Hint at Xbox Showcase Participation
Many eyes are focused on Playstation’s State of Play broadcast, which will take place later today. has already seen its fair share of hype. However, others have their sights set for a different presentation.
Xbox, Bethesda’s games showcase is scheduled to take place June 12. It is drawing attention from those who, after trying to determine how long it will broadcast, are now trying to predict which games might be viewed during that time.
The most talked about speculation is Josh Sawyer’s tweet. Many believe that Obsidian Entertainment Studio Design Director might have something for the showcase.

Sawyer retweeted a post from Xbox Wire reminding everyone of the showcase’s dates. He simply commented the words “anyway” and then a nail-painting emoji. Many interpreted this as a synonym of the idea of getting ready.
Fans were naturally intrigued by the speculation as to what titles Obsidian could have planned for the Outer Worlds 2, which was announced via a trailer at the 2021 edition of the showcase.
Obsidian has a lot of games, so it’s not easy to narrow down the options. However, some Reddit users tried.
Some users in a thread on r/GamingLeaksAndRumours, believe that the developer could have several trailers in the works, with NfinityBL saying: “Grounded has to get a full release this year, Avowed is one of the games from XGS furthest into development, and Pentiment was allegedly set for this year.”
Pentiment was the most intriguing of the three options, with the supposedly Disco Elysium-inspired historic RPG having already been linked to Sawyer.
Reddit users are curious about it. ScubaSteve1219 described it as “an enticing endeavor” and MMontanez92 added: “I’m excited for how it turns out!”
