Escape From the Princess PC Game 2018 Overview
A young girl faces a long road ahead, which help her achieve her dreams and become an artist.
Rosetta, a young girl, dreams of being a magician. But she’s not cut out for it. Zara arrives beside Rosetta just as she is ready to leave the mysterious eastern witch. Rosetta is needed to help her flee the city because she claims the princess is stalking her.
Zara gives the girl magic powers in return. Rosetta is aware that the witch didn’t tell her all the details, but she agrees. Rosetta is still curious about the cunning witch’s secrets, her motives for following her, and, most importantly, what happens if she develops feelings towards her unwelcome guest. Escape from the Princess doesn’t have a huge, epic story. It’s just a short, colourful, entertaining tale covering a few days of the life between our protagonist and an unanticipated guest.
It is hard to overstate how amazing the art is and how many there are – especially for a visual novel this price. A quick look through the gallery reveals that there are 46 CGs. Most of them have multiple versions for different times or specific actions. It would help if you also remembered that several CGs have simple animations (e.g. the windmill’s sails will turn). While it isn’t groundbreaking, it adds to the game’s charm. The character sprites are expressive and detailed, with many moods, outfits, and variations.
