During World War II, the desert fighting in Northern Africa and portions of the Mediterranean Sea is portrayed in the turn-based strategy game Army General. In 1940, the Desert Rats repelled the Italian invasion of Egypt; in 1941–42, the Afrikakorps advanced to Suez. By switching officers, equipment, and subordinate units, you can adapt your units to the difficulties presented by each area. Make your own campaigns and maps for yourself or other people to use.
