Gameplay
Anthem is a mix of action role-playing games and third-person shooter elements in an open, contiguous world. The game can be shared with up to three people at once.
Each player must play the role of freelancing in completely custom exosuits, also known as Javelins. There are four different Javelin variants that players can unlock, even if they’re moving forward in the game.
Every Javelin has a unique set of abilities and attributes that motivate them to play different games.
The game’s first player is the Ranger, one of many Javelin players. It is the combat master. Colossus is the slowest and most powerful, but it also has the greatest resiliency. It can absorb attacks and hit enemies with great defence.
The Interceptor is next, which is the fastest and most agile Javelin. It is a specialist in close-quarters melee strikes. The storm is the lowest armoured and can keep its airborne nature very long. This allows it to attack far away with the explosive power of elements.
Players can also build relationships with non-player characters. However, they cannot develop romantic relationships with them like it was possible in the Bio Ware games.
Fort of Tarsis is the central meeting place of this game. It serves as a safe haven from all threats to the outer world. This is also where players can go to get unfinished missions or freelance tasks. It is a melting pot where all aspects of the game are merged, such as Corvus and Arcanists and Sentinels.
