A Jungle Pet may be available in League of Legends Preseason 2023
Riot Games announces its preseason 2023 plan for “lessening [the] barrier of entry” for potential League jungle, by adding pets. According to a since-deleted post on the LoL Garena site.
Originally reported by Dot Esports. This blog post, “LoL pls: Preseason 2023 jungle changes”, highlights the development team’s problems with jungling in League of Legends. The main problem is that jungling can be so overwhelming that many people feel scared to take the role. Riot outlines potential changes that could make the role attractive to new players in a lengthy blog. Most notable is the introduction, or reintroduction, of League jungle animals.
The League blog says that “some of you may remember the old days of Spirit of the Elder Lizard and Wriggle’s Lanter-back in the day when jungle items felt more meaningful, impactful and impactful.” Let’s face it, and they were quite problematic in their way. We’re trying to capture some of this fantasy, but with a twist: pets.
It wouldn’t the first season that League of Legends pets were tested. In previous seasons, there was the Devourer Enchantment that summoned a loving ghost dog. The new pets work in a similar way to the ghost puppy. Players will be able “lowly””to raise and feed their pets until they grant an intense buff.
Although it is not yet clear how these League of Legendspets can help junglers, iit’sencouraging to see Riot think more about making League more accessible for newcomers. Preseason will arrive in late November, so we won’t be able to see how dramatic these changes are. However, we can only hope the jungle pets are adorable. It would be wonderful if they could help the jungle in some way, but that is a secondary concern.
