Age of Empires III ( AOE III ) is a computer game created by Ensemble Studios and published by Microsoft Game Studios. The Game, which falls under the category of real-time strategy in North America, was issued on October 18, 2005, and was released in Europe on November 5 of that same year.
It is the third installment of the game series Age of Empires and the successor game Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings. The Game traces an overview of the European expansion into North America from 1500. Up to 1850. (the expanding Age of Empires III: The War Chiefs events in the Game have been extended to 1876 ). It is playable with the eight characters of European civilization.
