Gameplay
God of War 4 offers a completely independent camera that doesn’t need to be raised above your shoulder. The video plays as one continuous shot without loading screens or cutaways. This installment is intended for one-player only.
Though the game appears free, it does not exist in an open world. Players unlock an advanced travel feature in the final stages that allowed them to use a boat and navigate across waters. While earlier games required swimmers, this installment allows for boat-based transport across bodies of water.
Players cannot jump free in this game; they must instead jump at defined areas such as edges or rock faces. Unlike its previous titles, this one isn’t based on Greek mythology but instead draws upon Norse mythology. You will encounter and battle many legendary creatures from this realm such as dark elves and draugrs throughout your adventure.
Players control Kratos the protagonist in combo-based battles and puzzle games. This game offers a completely new gameplay with Kratos’ double-chained blades gone. He now wields an ancient magic battle axe called The Leviathan Axe that you can throw at enemies or summon them back.
Precision targets can be set for larger enemies with the magic axe. Kratos receives the Guardian Shield, a new weapon which appears on his left arm as an armband when not in use.
Spartan Rage has now been transformed into the Rage ability. When Kratos’ Rage ability meter is empty, he can unleash all his full power and attack enemies with only his naked hands. Hacksilver is a currency that players use to purchase new products.
Kratos is the main character in this game, though players occasionally have the option to control Atreus passively.

Features of God of War4
God of War 4 promises to be an entirely different experience than previous God of War games. This latest installment boasts significant improvements and additions, such as:
New Weapons
Kratos will now wield the Leviathan Axe instead of his double-chained knives in this game. A guardian shield protects Kratos from long range attacks while Blades of Chaos, faster-attacking weapons, are another option. Kratos may also attack enemies with just his naked hands for extra impact.
Two Main Characters
In the inaugural God of War title, Kratos and Atreus will be your two primary protagonists. While you primarily control Kratos throughout most of the game, there are times when Atreus’ son Atreus can be controlled passively.
Boat Available
God of War 4 now allows players to use a boat for traversing water bodies. No longer do you need to swim – the makers have added this new feature!
Different Difficulty Levels
The game offers four difficulty levels. Which level you select will depend on how skilled your gaming skills were at the start.
